Remember that episode of Friends when Joey and Chandler leave their Christmas shopping to the last minute and are forced to by their gifts at a gas station?
If you still have shopping to do, but want to give your loved one something a little more special than toilet seat covers or windshield wipers, I have a couple ideas for you.
Of course, the mall, Target, Wal-Mart, etc are all open extended hours the next few days, but there is no way in heck I’d venture into those stores. Gift cards are always an option, but sometimes you want something a little more personal.
Chances are if you still have gift shopping to do, you probably still have food shopping as well and will need to hit a grocery store. To save you multiple stops, here are some gifts you can put together with items from your local grocery store.
Grab some ice cream cones and toppings and create an ice cream sundae bar in a box. This one includes homemade chocolate that looks really easy to make, but store bought will work just as well.
Birthday Card Box
Print a free copy of this birthday calendar from Organized Home on heavy cardstock. Fill it in with birthdays and anniversaries. Add cards from the $0.99 of the card aisle and purchase a book of stamps from the cashier. Now the recipient is set to send out birthday greetings for the year.

Homemade Chai Tea or Flavored Coffee Mix
All of the recipes in the links above use common grocery store ingredients. Make your mix and fill ziploc bags with it. Print this adorable bag topper and staple to the ziploc bag. Add a coffee mug from the Starbucks or other coffee kiosk in the store.
