Can you believe we have less than 6 months until Christmas. It seems like 2012 just began. I wrote this series of posts last year on preparing for Christmas by starting now. Starting early will help you save money and hopefully keep your from getting the Christmas crazies when December rolls around. Click on the posts below for tips on setting a budget, shopping online and in stores, and making your own presents.

Do you start your Christmas shopping early? What are your best tips for saving on Christmas gifts?

It’s much much too early for me to start thinking about Christmas. I know it will be here before we know it, though!

I always have good intentions, but somehow I still end up scrambling at the end.
wow I have not even thought about xmas. I think this year instead of stuff we are going to get our kids an “experience”. ask for money towards a camp for next summer, or a gymnasics class. Hopefully they will find meaning in this too
I love that idea. We did that this year with my parents and sister and her family. Instead of buying gifts for each other, we all but money towards a week at a beach house on the Oregon Coast. It was a fabulous trip and much more meaningful to spend time together.
Thanks for this. I’m going to have to book mark it because I just started thinking yesterday that it was time to start making ornaments and presents. I am going to try to make everyone’s present this year. Thanks again!

Thanks for stopping by, Lindsey. I’m impressed with your ambition to make your presents. Definitely best to start now…or you’ll be like me and Mod Podging until the wee hours of the morning in December.
